The Essentials To Stress Management: To Help You Achieve Harmony in Mind, Body, And Spirit
“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” - Albert Einstein
No doubt we live in stressful times. Everything seems to be progressing at exponential rates. Everything except our inner being and ability to cope with all [...]
Go Where There Is No Path and Leave a Trail
“I will not follow where the path may lead, but I will go where there is no path, and I will leave a trail.” Muriel Strode

We are all unique beings, each of us with different interests, talents, and perspectives. The problem is that society likes us to follow certain molds that are determined to be acceptable for our society. I believe that if we are to be happy we need to explore the things that bring us joy, fulfillment, and a meaningful sense of contribution. For many of us that will mean taking the path less traveled, or even create a new path. If deep down you know that being a lawyer is not going to bring you true happiness, and you find that you enjoy painting, put your energy in exploring how you can make a living doing what you love. If you really want something bad enough you will find a way to make it happen. The only limits you have are the ones you have accepted as being yours.
In India, when they are training baby elephants, they tie a small piece of colored rope to their leg to keep them from going anywhere. When the elephants are great big animals, they are so powerful that they can rip a metal chain. But as soon as they put on that brightly colored flimsy rope, the elephant doesn’t try to escape, because in its mind, it feels it’s impossible to break away. The elephant has become a slave to an idea, which has no basis of truth. I just want you to think of anything that might be limiting you, but you don’t question it anymore. Find out if there’s really any truth to it by experiencing it for yourself.
You must begin to quit consulting with the group mentality. Letting yourself be guided by the outside world is giving yourself permission to slowly evolve. If your inner voice tells you to do something, take Nike’s advice and just do it, if you wait for everyone else, you might never start. Once you form a habit of not consulting with the group conscious mentality, you will let your individuality shine through and be closer to who you really are. The real you can be felt and seen when you are demonstrating and living the qualities of intelligence, alertness, wisdom, knowingness, and being tuned into your environment.
Become familiar with the different aspects of your identity to decide if they are congruent with the future vision of yourself:
1. Self-Image (“I think”): Examine the way you think and you will see if it’s conducive with who you want to become. If your current thoughts run contrary to that vision, it is a self-sabotage.
2.Self-Esteem (“I feel”): To have a positive and healthy self-esteem, change your self-image. If you feel a strong emotional discomfort in life, you have locked yourself into a false identification.
3.Self-Confidence (“I act”): As soon as your thoughts and feelings are in accord, the actions you take will come from a place that feels right to you, and the by product will be increased confidence in yourself and what you are doing.
“In whatever situation you find yourself, always do your best, and let all your decisions and path of action come from your heart.” – Babaji
You need to not be governed and consumed by your emotions. You need to be able to distinguish a real feeling. Whenver you feel something in your heart, it has the potential to immeditaly transform you; becuase it becomes action. If your feeling just remains a feeling and never becomes an action, than you will know you are just pretending. I encourage you to take the leap of faith into the things that will let your individuality shine through, which is the greatest service you can do for the whole of humanity. Follow your bliss, live a purpose driven life, and most importantantly don’t worry be happy.
